Farmland Protection Celebration at the Rogers Farm
August 11, 2007

Event Celebrates Farmland Protection
&
Local Food

Saturday, August 11th was a beautiful day -- and not just because of the weather.

A hayride sets out across the fields at the Rogers family farm during the Farmland Protection Celebration.

Seventy-five Land Trust members and friends came out to celebrate the protection of 43 acres on the Rogers family farm just outside of Saline. Thank you to all of you who attended and celebrated with us, the Rogers family, and other neighbors and friends. Local foods, live music, and hayrides touring this beautiful property made this a festive occasion indeed.

Special thanks go to our friends and hosts Kendall and Nancy Rogers and family, to Luke Schaible for great music, and to Arbor Farms Market, Chelsea Rentals, and Stucchi's Ice Cream for helping to make this party a success.

Thank you again to all who volunteered, donated and attended! Photos from the party:
