Whole Foods Market has agreed to support a key WLT preservation project in Lima Township. The South Fletcher Road organic farm purchase of development rights project - which will permanently protect prime farmland utilized by the Community Farm of Ann Arbor - will get Whole Foods support from two major events later this year - Michigan Fest, a benefit concert set for July 26 at the Ark, and 5 percent of proceeds from one day's worth of sales during November's planned grand opening of Whole Foods's new Ann Arbor store. Details on both events will be made available to WLT members in upcoming mailings and newsletters. "We're grateful that Whole Foods has agreed to support this important preservation project," said WLT Development & Grants Manager Janaé Reneaud. "We're excited about both events."
