2005: The Washtenaw Land Trust has announced that Suzie
Heiney has been named Operations Manager.
In this
new position, Suzie will be responsible for overall office
and financial management. She will also serve as point person
for Board of Directors meetings and coordination of related
activities.
"As
the Land Trust grows, it's important that we utilize all of
Suzie's skills to ensure that we are able to effectively achieve
our land preservation mission," said Susan Lackey, Executive
Director of the Land Trust.
Suzie
joined WLT in April 2003, after working as an information
technology manager with Accenture. Suzie has a bachelor's
degree in business from Kalamazoo College, where she graduated
Magna Cum Laude.
Her involvement
with land-use issues includes volunteer work with the Sierra
Club-Huron Valley Group, MSU Extension's Citizen Planner certification,
and coursework with the Huron River Watershed Council. Suzie
lives in the historic district of downtown Ypsilanti with
her husband, Bob Heiney.
